Mikhara Ramsing
Press KitI believe that stories save lives.
I am a social entrepreneur. I run two social enterprises in the youth mental health space: Miks Chai a tea company that supports mental health and wellbeing, and; Ethnic LGBT+ which is Australia’s only free national website providing support, education and mentoring for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) LGBT+ individuals.
I am passionate about creating connected and inclusive communities and in this endeavour have been recognised through my achievements of finalist for Young Australian of the Year QLD 2019 and AFR Top 100 Women of Influence. I was awarded a Westpac Social Change Fellowship enabling me to attend Harvard University focusing on creative ways to solve social problems and to work with LGBTIQ+ communities around the world, including the world’s first openly gay prince, Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil of India.
